Ideal Compression ratios for the street are around 9:1 compression ratio with pump gas and a moderate performance cam and as high as 10:1 compression ratio with a more strip freindly cam. As Cams progress into race categories and combined with aluminum heads compression ratios with pump gas may be as high as 11.5:1 in rare circumstances.
